So what do you want to know?
For a couple who has only been together one year, this shouldn't take to long! We were married and sealed in the San Diego Temple in La Jolla, CA on July 28, 2000 (it's real easy to tell how long we've been married)! But what about before that?!
Well here's a little background on how we met.
We actually met back in 1995 when Kim was dating one of Harrison's good friends and guitarist Wade Poulson. We used to double date, like good little LDS kids. We remained casual friends from that point on, bumping into each other every once in awhile at church dances.
During the summer of 1999 we almost didn't happen. Kim had moved away to Arizona and was offered a Drama scholarship to stay out there. Harrison had begun filling out paperwork to move to Poo-tah to get out of the dying YSA (Young Single Adult) scene in San Diego. We both felt like there was some reason we needed to stay here and canceled our plans to move. We had both stopped going to YSA dances, just going about our lives and that's it. There was a YSA conference that was coming up and we both thought we should attend.
The second day of the conference, Saturday Oct. 16th, 1999, Harrison was sitting on the stage eating breakfast by himself. Kim saw him there and thought well there's someone I know. We began to talk. We laughed about how all our friends are getting married. Harrison said "I figure I'll get married all in due time" Kim replied "Same here! Hey maybe your in due time will meet up with my in due time." We laughed not realizing how true those words really were!
Well we spent the rest of the day together. Going to Old Town for a service project as part of the conference. Instead of splitting up after the service project, we decided to go to the Zoo and then back to Kim's house. We've been together almost everyday since then. You may have laughed that we included the date when we met at the conference, which was also our first date. However if you look at your old calendar you'll see that that was a holiday called "The Sweetest Day"! Let us tell you it really was!!
